Congratulations on the Website.
It's great to have the Wendish site for people to learn more about their ancestors, and to keep up to date with all the events the Wends run in Victoria.
If anyone would like to visit the Zwar Website they are welcome to try the zwar-zwahr.com website.

Congratulations of this refreshing Website.
It is pleasing to know that the Wends Society has an extensive library of knowledge to offer to the community in re-searching family history.
Well done.

It's very interesting to read the history of the Australian Wends! I live in Texas, where most of the Wends who came to America settled. I have long been interested in the history of my father's family (Bjar originally and now Biar). I had heard that many of the Wends traveled to Australia also.

For a look at the history of the Texas Wends, here is their web site:

At last....a blast from the past. This must be the next link in the jouney for us to trace our ancestry. Eight years ago I got as far as the Pf(ister, eifer, ingst etc) brothers from Silesia who were Wends but I reached a dead end by searching for "Wendts".
Thanks for a good website.

Super webside, congratulations! My father Pastor Herbert Zerna was more well known leader of the Wends by 1930 - 1950 in Germany.
"Zerna", a totally wendish name.
All best greetings from old Germany

I have read with interest the comments of researchers who have explored this web-site. We are pleased to arrange a visit to our library in Ivanhoe for researchers who come to Melbourne. We hope that Wendish/Sorbian researchers continue to find the information on this web-site useful and helpful.

Congratulation to your web site, very nice presented.
We are still new comers amd our history is in Germany and we have no ancestors here in Australia but it is still very interesting to
read about the old settlers to this country .We're now members with your society since a few years but never had the change to meet on your outings and get togethers but we hope one day it will happen. HG.

Congratulations on setting up such a useful website. I'll be passing on the address to my Gulbin/Leska relatives with whom we enjoyed a wonderful holiday in the Werben/Burg area last year. Prior to my initial contact, they had no knowledge of an Australian connection. I'm sure your site will be of great interest to them.

I am researching the family of Christian Domaschenz formerly of the State of California, USA, and would love to contact the Domaschenz family of Australia to try and determine if there is a familial connection. Thank you so much for sharing your work, it is greatly appreciated.
