Guided Tours of the Westgarthtown Heritage Trail: Sunday 1 November 2009

On Sunday November 1 the Friends of Westgarthtown offered guided tours of the Westgarthtown Heritage Trail. Tours started at 1.00 pm, 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm from the Ziebell Farmhouse, 100 Gardenia Rd, Thomastown (Melway Map 8 H5).

This area of Melbourne is of "national and statewide significance for its representation of German migration to Victoria" and for "its 1850's construction and the introduction of German building techniques in Australia". The tours were free and included afternoon tea.
