Volkhard Wehner was the guest speaker at our "Pleasant Sunday Afternoon" on Sunday 3 April 2011. He spoke about his newly-published book Heimat Melbourne: A History of the German-speaking Community of Melbourne, 1855-1865.

The "Pleasant Sunday Afternoon" began with a community lunch at 12.30 pm at Ivanhoe Lutheran Church, 27 Livingstone St, Ivanhoe. Participants were asked to bring some finger food for lunch. A brief AGM was held, from 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm, followed by the guest speaker. Afternoon tea was be provided.
