Visitors from Lusatia
by John NoackOn Sunday, 5th August 2012, our society’s research library received a visit from two German academics, Sebastian Kurtenbach and Elisa Ribbe. The visit was a very pleasant surprise, and was motivated by the fact that Elisa is of Wendish heritage – her family is from Hochkirch, near Bautzen. Members of the society who were present at the time were able to engage in interesting conversation about Lusatia, including current political events.
As a result of that meeting, Elisa, who is a sociologist, has contributed an article titled “How Lusatian Sorbs were inspired by Welsh rebels” which is on the Articles page of the website.
